Dorothy McAbee-Gary

2/10/1924 – 9/27/12

Dorothy was raised in Capitol Hill by her parents Sidney Lee Dillon & Oka Mae Dillon. She graduated

from Capitol Hill High School.

Dorothy was preceded in death by husband Tobe McAbee and husband Harold Lee Gary. Sister Annabel

Price, brother-in-law Alfred Price, and brother-in-law Harley Sherman also preceded her in death.

Dorothy was survived by Sister Betty Jean Sherman of Oklahoma City and Dorothy’s sweet dog Rosie.

Other survivors are daughter Barbara Close and husband Bob Close, son Ronnie Owen and wife Lori

Owen, and daughter Becky Drennen and husband Ric Drennen.

She is also survived by her late husband Harold’s children Hal, Karen, William, Bob and their families

who she loved dearly.

Dorothy had 6 Grand children, 15 great grand children, and 1 great-great grand-child.

She loved to dance, gamble, and be with people. She loved attending the Thunder games with her

granddaughter Lisa. She loved to go; in fact her sister Betty called her “The Go-Go Girl”.

Her last two and one half years were spent at Legend’s Assisted Living where she enjoyed all her friends

and their families. She took part in all the activities offered and

Dorothy will be missed very much and was deeply loved by everyone who knew her.
