Dorothy raised three children, Jeanne, Stephen, and Donna all by herself. She was always a great role model for them by being an honest, determined, intelligent, and a hard working person. One fond memory of her children was when they went camping and drove the 1968 Volkswagen beetle which was packed to the top with all of their supplies. She enjoyed vegetable gardening and had a fig tree and strawberry patch. Thanksgiving was her favorite time of the year because she enjoyed getting all of her family together and loved to cook a Thanksgiving feast for everyone. Some of her specialties included fried chicken, cobblers, and peanut brittle. Dorothy retired from Tinker Air Force Base after many years. While working, she was one of the first people to work with computers in the 1960’s. She was a heart transplant recipient and because of this, some would say she was always young at heart.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Williamson; and brother, Grady Edgington. Survivors include her children, Jeanne White and husband Charles, Stephen Duncan, Donna Ghazanfari and husband Ali; grandchildren, Jerusha Ghazanfari, Talitha Bennett, Amber Paddack, Richard Paddack, Jeremy Duncan, Matthew Duncan, Kara Outon, and Mallory Duncan; great-grandchildren, Matthew Paddack, Sara Huggins, Mihaila Bennett, Jeriah Bennett, Elias Bennett, and Kiyan Ahmad; and many other friends and family members who will miss her dearly.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 23, 2015 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel with interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Del City, Oklahoma.
