Douglas Earl Taylor was born in El Paso, Texas to Fredde and Glenn Ross Taylor on September 20th, 1970. Douglas left this life on August 22nd, 2018. He moved with his family to Oklahoma City in 1975 and then graduated from Putnam City High School in 1989. Doug joined the United States Army and served with Delta Co, 4th Battalion, 70th Armor in Desert Storm as an M1A1 Tank Driver. He married Adrienne Weed and together they had three sons, Benjamin, Christopher and Eric. After his divorce and leaving the Army, Douglas began studying at the University of Central Oklahoma, while working, first at Office Depot, and then at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Oklahoma City. In 2002, Doug married Elizabeth Johnson. They had a daughter, Allison. He began working at Tinker Air Force Base and he was proud to graduate from Southern Nazarene University with a BS in Network Management. Doug moved to Midwest City in 2013 and continued to live there until his death. Douglas was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Ross Taylor. Douglas is survived by his sons, Benjamin, Christopher, and Eric Taylor, and his daughter Allison Taylor. He is also survived by his parents, Fredde and Patrick Gentry, his sister Jeane Warren, his brother John Taylor, his grandmother Jean Darr, an enormous extended family, and many many beloved friends. A funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday August 28, 2018 at Destiny Christian Center in Del City, OK with interment to follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery.
