Dustin Joe Burks of Moore, OK passed away June 23, 2016. He was born to Billy and Carrie Burks on November 9, 1977 in Midwest City, OK. Dustin graduated from Choctaw High School in 1996. Since 2001, Dustin worked as a security officer at the Federal Aviation Administration’s Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City. Dustin also worked as a reserve Deputy Sheriff for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department and a reserve Police Officer for the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Police Department. Dustin enjoyed shooting, golfing, photography, riding motorcycles and spending time with his friends, family, and his dogs. Dustin is survived by his father and stepmother, Billy and Michele Burks of Moore, his mother Carrie Burks of Tulsa, his brother and sister-in-law, Chad and Michelle Burks of Moore, and his sister Jennifer Johnson of Blue Springs, MO. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Del City Church of Christ with interment at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
