Dwayne “Skip” Everett Ash, 84, was called home by his Lord on July 27, 2016. Skip was born on November 15, 1931 in Amboy, Minnesota to George Everett and Lena Jane (Goor) Ash. Skip was a retired Msgt of the United States Air Force. He loved being a part of this great nation’s history having served 26 ½ years in the Air Force. Skip loved traveling especially with Daunita when they were snowbirds for a time.
He was an “avid”, maybe the largest ever, Yankees and Dallas Cowboys fan. His TV was forever on a sporting event of some sort. Most recently, he enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles. The more pieces, the better!
Skip is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Rada Lee Evans Ash; second wife, Daunita Elaine White Ash; siblings, Marvin Ash, Mava Dreger, Arlene Ash Juliar, and Loretta Ash Davis; and son-in-law, Gene Havens. Survivors include his children, Cheryl Ash Havens, Cindy Watkins (Bruce), Cara Manson (Darin), Terry Ash- Torres (Daniel), Gary Ash, sister, Lorraine DeVlaminck, sister-in-law, Margaret Ash; step-children, Diane Constance (Brent), Bob White (Cindee), and Lynn Firkins (Doug); 13 grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 12 step great-grandchildren; and many other friends and family who will miss him dearly.
We will remember his smile and his laugh but most of all; we will remember his love of God and his family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Wounded Warriors Project in Dwayne “Skip” Ash’s name. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com
Arrangements under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Del City, Oklahoma.
