Earnest "Wes" Sartin was born on January 9, 1921 in Burkburnett, Texas to Warner and Ida Sartin. He passed away at home, surrounded by family on December 9, 2018 in Del City, OK. He was raised in Walters, Oklahoma and had 2 sisters and 1 brother. He married Frances M. Schultz in September of 1949. They had 2 children, John and Estelle.
Wes retired from the Air Force where he served for 21 years. He was also a meat cutter for Wilson Foods for many years. He liked fishing and was notorious for giving people a hard time. Most of all, he loved his grandbabies.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Frances; his parents; sisters, Eula "Babe" Simington and Donnie Blair; and his brother, Henry Sartin. He is survived by his children, John Sartin (wife Janet) of McKinney, Texas and Estelle Tapley (husband Steve) of Oklahoma City; daughter-in-law Connie Sartin of Edmond; grandchildren, John (wife Kaci), Michael (wife Carla), Chris (wife Cassie), Jennifer (husband Matt), and Brent (wife Sara); and great-grandchildren, Bryan, Kyle, Gavin, Chris, William, Mason, Taylor, Max, Elizabeth, and Annie.
Visitation for Wes will be from 4-8pm Thursday, Dec. 13th at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City. Services will be at 2pm Friday, Dec. 14th at the Bill Eisenhour Chapel with burial to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
