Efrain was born in Hacienda de Humboldt, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Pascual Durán Rubio and Agustina Nuñez Carrillo on May 17, 1959. He came to the United States in 1976. In 1980, he met Angelita Durán and married on December 31st, 1981. He became a U.S. Citizen in 1992. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed sharing this passion with others. He worked for his father-in-law Manuel at Canvas Repair, from 1995 until 2006, when he opened his own awning upholstery business. He enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with family. He also enjoyed playing baseball when he was young and watching the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Angelita, of 42-1/2 years; son, Edgar Durán and his wife Patricia; beloved grandchildren, Erick, Xavier, and Andrea; mother, Agustina Nuñez Carrillo; siblings, Jose Durán, Magdalena Salgado, Theresa Jiminez and her husband Manuel, Socorro Durán, and Ivan Durán and his wife Carla. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Pascual Durán Rubio.
Visitation will be on Friday July 12th, from 4-8 p.m. at Sunnylane Funeral Home in Del City. Services will be held at Sunnylane Funeral Home on Saturday July 13th, at 10 a.m. with interment to follow.
