Elizabeth “Deanie” Gray 1943-2019. Her life was well lived, and she was well loved! The Lord called Deanie home in a peaceful manner with her family by her side, on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Deanie was born on April 12, 1943 in Lebanon, OK to Drew Norman and Juanita Louise (Goff) Monroe. Deanie was a loving and caring woman who has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be extremely missed by her husband of the home and best friend of 58 years Donald Gray of Del City, OK and her children Donald Gray and wife Teresa of El Reno, OK, Robbie Gray and wife Lisa of Midwest City, OK, Randy Gray of Choctaw, OK and Michael Gray and wife Melissa of Newalla, OK. Family was the pivotal essence of Deanie’s life. She was proud and honored to be the matriarch, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to our large family. She has been a major presence and influence in the lives of those she loved, and she will always be remembered for her remarkable Thanksgiving feasts (particularly her special Thanksgiving dressing) and family gatherings. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting with husband and gardening. You often heard her sharing her recipes and gardening tips at the family reunions. She was a proud grandmother to Brittany, Steven, Robert, Cody, Tyler, Austin, Lauron, Lindsay, Megan, Matthew and Michelle. She cherished her role of great-grandmother and loved to spend time with Gracie, Trevor, Tanner, Paityn, Braden, Baylee, Bella, Bo, Kylee, Layla, Jax, and Ellie. She was proceeded in death by her father Drew (Pete) Monroe; mother Juanita (Goff) Monroe; son Ronald Wayne Gray; brothers Ruel Lewis Monroe, Merle Gene Monroe, and Bobby Lynn Monroe; and sister Marla Fayne Jackson. She is survived by her loving sisters, Callie Lanoy and husband Larry of Davis, OK, Patricia Parsons and husband Jimmy of Enos, OK, Janet Eaton and husband Lee of Shay, OK, Sandra Mullins and husband Steve of Enos, OK, Marilyn Monroe of Enos, OK, Renita Wilson and husband Chris of Enos, OK; and brother Gerald Monroe and wife Guinda of Enos, OK. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Deanie will be forever remembered for her beautiful smile, caring heart, loving embrace and unconditional love. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate her life and find comfort that she is in heaven watching over us.

I can hear that sweet little giggle of hers. She was a very loving person especially to all her family. She is rejoicing with Ronald as we remember all the fun times with her. She was fun and could tell some funny experiences that she had encountered. I will miss seeing her and visiting with her. Love to all. Nancy

I don’t think my words are adequate to express the love I had for Deanie. She was my very first best friend. I will miss her laughter, and the little things she would tell me about the experiences of raising 5 little boys. We were last in touch in March when she messaged me about some pictures she wanted to share. I called her almost every year on April 12th to wish her a happy birthday. I will miss that call this year and my heart is broken. I loved her as a sister and I think she felt the same way about me. She was the shining jewel in the crown of a large and loving family. Her family was so blessed to have her guidance and love.
She will be greatly missed by her family and a multitude of friends who have been blessed having known her. I will hold her memory deep in my heart and treasure it for the rest of my days. To her family, I love all of y’all and I know the pain of loss is great you lost a wonderful wife and mother, cherish those memories as gold.
