Ernesto Garcia Longoria passed away on August 17, 2016 at the age of 84. He was born to Federico and Victoria (Garcia) Longoria on April 3, 1932 in Edinburg, Texas. Ernesto proudly served his country for 23 years in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of technical sergeant before his retirement in 1974. Following his military service, Ernesto was employed as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service.
Ernesto is survived by his wife, Olivia C. Longoria; son, Ernie Longoria, Jr.; daughters, Veronica Ferguson, Blanche Longoria, and Teresa Longoria; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Freddie Longoria.
Arrangements for Ernesto Longoria and his family were placed in the care of Sunny Lane Funeral Home.
