Esther Iola Carlson

Esther Iola Carlson was born Jan. 3, 1934 in Cedar Township, Iowa. to George and Eva Winebrenner. She was the 5th child born of 10 brothers and sisters. She grew up there and attended Fonda High School.

She married Daryl Carlson on November of 1951 in Fonda Iowa. They settled there and were blessed with two sons Wade E, Carlson and Tony C. Carlson. In 1960 they moved to Storm Lake, Iowa. She became a department manager at a local super market and continued this career until her sons graduated from high school. In 1974 Daryl and Esther moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. She loved being a waitress and worked at many major hotel and casinos. In the 90's Daryl and Esther retired and over the next 10 years moved often. Esther ended her working career as a caregiver taking care of the elderly and her passion was taking care of Alzheimer patients.

In 2005 She retired again and moved to Leeds, Utah to be near Tony and his family. Esther had a heart attack in July of 2012 and in December of 2012 Tony went to moved her to Shawnee Ok. to be close to him and the family.

In late Sept she decided that she could not live alone and went to live with Tony and Cindy but shortly after being there for a short time and she decided it was time for full time care and went into the Shawnee Colonial Nursing Home where she went home to be with Jesus her Savior on November 26, 2013. She fought long and hard and is in peace now.

Esther was preceded by her parents George and Eva Winebrenner, her brothers Orville, Fred, Ed, Glen, Bob and Frank Winebrenner, her husband Daryl and her son Wade Carlson.

Esther survived by her sister Juanita Jesse, her brother Nick and Jerry Winebrenner, her son Tony Carlson and daughter in law Cindy Carlson and Wade's wife Nancy Carlson. And many loving nephew and Nieces.
