Faye McCready

Lula Faye McCready, 88, passed away on March 11, 2015. Lula was born on February 21, 1927 in Paden, OK to John and Audrey Pruitt (Vanzant). Lula loved spending time with her family and she never missed their birthdays. She enjoyed quilting, square dancing, and putting together Thomas Kincade puzzles. One of her favorite pass times was watching the Los Angeles Lakers play basketball. Lula enjoyed the spring time because the deep purple crepe myrtles were in bloom. She enjoyed baking pies and cobblers. Her specialty was chocolate and lemon pies along with peach cobbler. Lula also had an extensive pig collection. In her early years, she was a beautician however her number one clients were always her family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William David McCready; and sons, Randy McCready and Gary McCready. Survivors include her children, Annette Bailey and husband Phil, Rick McCready and wife Donna; daughter-in-laws, Barbara McCready and Yvette McCready; grandchildren, Robert Bailey and wife Lisa, Keri Powell and husband Shawn, Kellie Wilson and husband David, Travis Bailey and wife Nachole, Jenny Conaway and husband Ryan, Sheri Jones and husband Chad, Melissa Cooper and husband Jakari, Heather Lakin and husband Todd, Micah McCready, Sean Davidson and wife Jennifer, and Crystal McCready; sister, Johnnie May Weaver; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 13, 2015 at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
