

Francisco J. Lozano, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away on the morning of January 5, 2016, at the age of 87. He was born in Lampazos Nuevo Leon, Mexico on April 18, 1928 to Manuel Lozano Tamez and Praxedis Garcia Tovar. He married Alice Diou on August 13, 1950, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his four children and their spouses, Alice and Howard Van Auken of Ames, IA; Rosie and Keith Crall of Chandler; Frank and Casey Lozano of Moore; and Patsy and Chris Bourke of Edmond; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was a proud member of the U.S. Air Force and served his country for 20 years, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. Francisco served in Korea, Alaska, and Vietnam. For his meritorious service in Vietnam, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. During his time of service, he was also awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters and numerous awards and decorations, including two battle stars in Korea and two battle stars in Vietnam. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for the U.S. Civil Service for 17 years. He also attended Oscar Rose Junior College and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Arts. A Rosary Service will be held Thursday, January 7th at 7:00 p.m. at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel, 5005 SE 29th Del City. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 3901 S. Sunnylane, Del City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Paul Catholic Church Memorial Fund, 3901 S. Sunnylane Rd, Del City, OK 73115.
