

A graduate of Holdenville High School, Class of 1963, Jack went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from East Central University in 1967.
Jack married Lawanna on September 1, 1994, and they shared 31 years together.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Garrett and Edna Cooper, and his siblings, Becky Mauldin, JoAlice Bailey, and Ross Cooper.
He is survived by his wife, Lawanna.
He is also survived by his son Jeff Cooper and his wife Barbara of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and his son Chris Cooper and his wife Amy of Thomasville, Georgia.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Beth Houts and her husband Mark; Ryan Richardson and his wife Ola; Nick Cooper; Rachel Cooper; and Andrew Cooper and his wife Amanda, and also five great-grandchildren.
Jack is further survived by his sister, Caroline Cowan and her husband James; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 28 at
Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 5005 SE 29th Street, Del City, Oklahoma.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 1 at
Del City Church of Christ, 1901 Vickie Drive, Del City, Oklahoma.
Burial will follow at
Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 North Midwest Blvd, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Jack was a longtime member of the Del City Church of Christ, where he faithfully served for over 30 years, including leading the Meals on Wheels ministry. He worked for OG&E for 33 years before retiring.
Outside of work and church, Jack enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He had a deep love for sports and rarely missed an opportunity to watch the Sooners and the OKC Thunder. He also found great joy in woodworking, spending many hours crafting projects with care and patience — often creating pieces that became treasured gifts for family and friends.
Jack will be remembered for his faith, his dedication to serving others, and his love for his family and community.
