Gary Lee Todd Jr.

He was born on April 24, 1955, to Gary L Todd, Sr and Joan Yvonne Todd in Oklahoma City.

Gary graduated from Western Heights High School – Oklahoma City in 1973 where he was an excellent football player and was loved and admired by his classmates, teachers and coaches.

He married Valerie Marie Todd on April 24, 2004. Gary was the stepfather to Jacob Smith who he loved only as a father could love.

He worked as a Heavy Equipment Hauler for a large asphalt company in Oklahoma City for much of his career.

Gary was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis as a teenager. He was determined, as only a Todd could be, to overcome the disease and never gave in to the doctor’s predictions that he would be physically handicapped in later life. He became an avid body builder and took great pride in serving as a health club manager and personal trainer. He was always proud of his physique.

Gary is survived by his wife, Valerie Marie Todd, stepson, Jacob Smith, his sisters, Teresa Smith, Nancy Harwick, and Brandy Ashby and brother Michael Todd and many aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins – all of whom will miss him every day.

He was preceded in death by his parents Gary and Joan Todd, paternal grandfather, Christopher (Hye) Todd and grandmother Toye Todd, aunts Irene Todd and Terry Todd and maternal grandmother and grandfather Oscar and Frances Sitterley, and his aunt Helen Sikes, all of Oklahoma City.

Services will be held graveside in section 9 of Sunnylane Cemetery (4000 SE 29th) at 2 PM Thursday January 15, 2026.
