

Gaylon was born on February 19, 1964, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Loritta “Rita” Smith Madison and Gail Madison. A devoted provider, Gaylon worked many jobs throughout his life, always doing whatever was necessary to care for and support his family. His life was marked by perseverance, sacrifice, and a quiet strength that spoke louder than words.
In the last few years, Gaylon became a Christian whose faith guided him through every season of life. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his commitment to family, and his steady, dependable presence.
Gaylon was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Pearl; his mother, Rita Smith; and his father, Gail Madison.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Judy Saunders; his sons, Tony, Kevin, Jeff, and Jeremiah; his sisters, Flora, Tina, and Cheryl; and his grandchildren Tyler, Makyna, and Illias; great grandchildren, Hollyn, River, and Cohen. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Justin, Jeremy, Megan, Angel, and James, and many other family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Westmoore Community Church, 11513 S. Western Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73170. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Gaylon’s life and legacy.
Gaylon’s legacy lives on through the family he loved, the work he faithfully did, and the faith he held close to his heart.
