George Robert (Papa) Hunter will be missed more than this grandkid can express. He leaves behind a brigade of mourners who will always remember the lessons that he taught us. Foremost of which is that “if the branch looks too small to hold your weight, then it most likely is”. Also, one should “be wary of any man with easy access to tear gas and a fondness for pranks”. You might have learned that “nothing good can come of teasing a mother-in-law”. (He liked to teach by example) or you might understand the futility that a dad experiences when he tries to punish his little girl with Papa around” and, of course, “boys will be boys… Until the wife finds out”. We will all be worse for the wear without him to guide us.
