

Gerald Mowery, 70 year-old resident of Oklahoma City, OK, entered his Heavenly Home August 9, 2010 in Oklahoma City, OK. Born December 21, 1939 in Watonga, OK, he was the son of Jaloyce Gerald Mowery and Ruby Beatrice Buck Mowery. Gerald attended the Crooked Oak School System; and the University of Oklahoma and gradauted from Oklahoma City University. He played in the "Pride of Oklahoma" and was music director at Southern Baptist Churches for over 40 years. Gerald was artistic, creative, and visionary, always seeing the best in people in any situation. He loved to fix things and was a former math teacher. He was the owner-operator of an RV Parts and Repair business for over 30 years. Survivors inlcude his wife Judith Mowery of the home; 1 son, Monty Mowery and wife Germaine of Southeast Asia; 1 daughter, Chandra Oliver and her husband Matthew of Oklahoma City, OK; 2 brothers, Charles and his wife Tresh Mowery of Oklahoma City, OK; Bernard and his wife Harriet of Houston, TX; 2 sisters, Darlene Morgan of Riverside, CA; Alice and her husband Jim Burnworth of Confluence, PA; 4 grandchildren, Manon; Henna; Judah; and Ezra Mowery; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Southern Temple Baptist Church at 1821 S. High in Oklahoma City, OK. Burial will follow in Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, OK with arrangements under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Del City, OK. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons or the American Diabetes Association.
