

Geraldine “Geri” Rae (Wilson) Tatum was 79 years old at the time of her death, and throughout those years of her life, she never failed to exemplify, a sense of grace, kindness, and class. She went home to be with the Lord on June 26, 2017. Geri was born August 4, 1937 in Perry, OK to Bruce James and Sybil Bernice (Ballard) Wilson.
She met the love of her life, Stan, at a mutual friend’s house. They were inseparable until Stan’s job transferred him to Seattle, WA. From there he proposed to her over the phone, “If you want to get married, you better get up here”. They were married on October 1, 1961 in Seattle. To this union 3 children were born, Jan, Jay and Jill. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
Geri was a sweet gentle lady who loved life and always wanted to go – anywhere. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, shopping or just taking a Sunday drive. Her pride and joy were her children, and grandchildren.
She was a longtime member of Bryant Avenue Baptist Church of Oklahoma City; where she enjoyed spending time with her church family.
Geri was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Sybil Wilson.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Stan; children, Jan Pressley and husband Dale of Choctaw; Jay Tatum and fiancée, Lisa of Oklahoma City; Jill Moss and husband Eddie of Deland, Florida; grandchildren, Shannon Pressley, Rhealynne Moss, Jamie Pressley, Alfredo Tatum, Paige Moss; sister, Jackie Canning, and a host of relatives and friends.
Those fortunate to have known her, among her family and friends, will never forget her physical and spiritual presence in their lives.
