Mom was born March 14, 1928 in Poteau, OK to Coy and Ruby Gray, where she lived until 16, then moved to Oklahoma City. Shortly after arriving, she met and married her husband of 32 years, Amos, and had 3 children.
Gladys “Lucy” loved to bake and sew and was very talented at both tasks. She loved making doll clothes and crafting. She was a member of the Red Hat Organization, as an Apple Blossom Sister and enjoyed it tremendously. She also enjoyed playing piano and dancing. She retired after 14 years with Rather Food at General Motors, OKC.
She was preceded in death by her husband Amos; parents, Coy and Ruby Gray; brother, Henry; sister, Betty Rothfusz; an infant granddaughter and her beloved son Larry.
Mom is survived by her daughters, Connie and husband Gerald McDaniel of Newalla, daughter, Wilma and husband Mike Roper of Moore, OK; granddaughters, Laura Porter, Little Axe, OK and JoLynne McDaniel of Denver, CO; grandsons Dennis Patrick and Matt Clifford and wife Amber of Moore, OK; 5 great-grandsons Nicholas, Michael, Maddux, Bryson and Xander; brother-in-law, Werner Rothfusz of Denver, CO and sister-in-law, Latricia Gray, of Del City, OK and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
