Glen Dale Douthit, 69, of Shawnee passed away June 8, 2012. Dale was born May 18, 1943 to Truman C. and Leta (Dodd) Douthit in Seminole County. He married Patricia A. Richards October 28, 1973 and moved to Kingston in 2000. He returned to Shawnee a week ago to be with family.
Dale lived in Midwest City and worked at Tinker Air Force Base for 18 years as a Parts Procurement Officer. Dale was an ordained minister who loved and protected young children and enjoyed fishing. One of the last things he said was “Remember, God is always on your side”. He said he felt the blessings of all the prayers offered up for him.
Dale is survived by his wife Patricia and one son Brian Keith Douthit; granddaughters Ashley Roberts and Montana Douthit; grandson Braxton Douthit; Brothers Robert “Bob” Douthit of Seminole and Kenneth “Cotton" Douthit of Broken Arrow and a sister Iva Jean Douthit Armstrong of Shawnee; many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his Parents, a brother J.L. Douthit; daughter Tammy King and his grandparents.
