Glenda Sheryl Carr

Glenda “Bunny” Sheryl Carr, aged 77, of McLoud, Ok, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2024. Born on January 29, 1947 in Weeleka, Ok, she dedicated most of her adult life helping others pursue their dreams of becoming radio/tv broadcasters at the American Broadcasting School. She was a Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and your best friend if she knew you. Glenda was a true renaissance woman: Smart, funny, hippy at heart, performed on stage, had her own radio show, accomplished Kung Fu Si Jer (Teacher), played guitar and was a songwriter, travelled across the US on a motorcycle, became a foster parent, always cared more about others than she did herself and had great stories.

She is survived by her Children Lori Allison, Johnanna Dukes, Jayce Carr and Ronnie McKenzie. Sister Linda Gable, Brothers and spouses Myke & Lori, Larry & Cheryl, Darrell & Shawn Gable. Plus 6 Grand Children, 7 Great Grandchildren, and 10 nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held April 13, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Mcloud Senior Citizens Center located at 647 S 8th St, McLoud, OK 74851. There will be a life celebration/potluck Dinner following the service if you would like to stick around and break bread share memories.

In celebration of her Life there will be a tree planted at a local park in the upcoming days.
