Gloria Clark

Gloria Aileene Clark, 86, died peacefully on April 1, 2017 at Meadowlake Estates in OKC. She was born on March 19, 1931 in Calvin, OK to Norman and Sylvia Keeton. She graduated from Crooked Oak High School in 1949 as Valedictorian and received a scholarship to attend OCU. Family was always important to Aileene. Growing up, Aileene and her sister, Violet, would write and direct plays. They then would charge two buttons to watch the show. She loved going to the movie, reading, listening to music, and spending time with her family. Aileene was a longtime resident of OKC and was a Baptist. She married Wayne Clark in 1951 and was married for 59 years until his death. Aileene was preceded in death by her loving parents; her husband Wayne; her sister, Violet Harris; and her three brothers, Donnie, Kenneth, and Tommy Keeton. She is survived by her daughter Debbye Welch and her husband, James of OKC; her grandson, Brandon Welch of OKC; and many nieces and nephews. Aileene was a loving wife, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her daughter and grandson were the greatest joys of her life. The family would like to thank Meadowlake Estates and Humanity Hospice for their support, compassion, and loving care. A graveside service will be held at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 10:00 am.
