

Gloria Jean Donnell was born in Lamar, Oklahoma in her grandparent’s home on April 16, 1940 and entered into the peace and joy of living with her Lord and Savior, and her loved ones in heaven, on January 17, 2015. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Godly ones.” Psalm 116:15.
She married her beloved, James Bert Moles on August 4, 1956. Through their happy and blessed union, they raised and loved four children. After 28 years of a wonderful life together, our Lord called James home in 1984. God, in His love and mercy, brought another great love into Gloria’s life through William Byron Donnell whom she married on July 13, 1985. They spent 27 wonderful years together traveling and making wonderful family memories before he went to be with our Lord in February 2012. Gloria was a woman who loved Jesus Christ passionately and a devoted mother who loved her children unconditionally. She involved herself in her children’s lives as their Brownie and Cub Scout Leader, Home-room Mother, PTA president of their school, parent sponsor on many band and choir trips and made sure that they learned the most important thing in life, to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Her famous words that she shared with her children and everyone were, “Read your Bible everyday”. She loved teaching God’s Word and taught Sunday school for many years. Gardening, genealogy, sewing, crocheting, painting, and poetry were a great love of hers. She was creative and talented and shared those gifts with her family and friends. Gloria attended Countryside Baptist Church where she has many beloved friends and “family in Christ”. Believing in the Grace, Truth, Power, and Strength of God’s love of her and the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, she brought much comfort, peace, and joy to her loved ones and those who cared for her in her last days.
Gloria was preceded in death by many loved ones in Christ whom she is reunited with today, including her beloved grandparents, Lazarus and Bessie Lester; mother, Florence Rogers; spouses, James Bert Moles and William Byron Donnell;two precious great grandbabies and her wonderful aunt, Flo Maxwell, whom she looked upon as her second mother. ; and 2 precious great grandbabies. Surviving Gloria are her children, Steven Moles, Lora Reed and husband Mark, Tammy Harrison and husband Bruce, and Cameron Moles and wife Angela. She is also survived by a special niece, Pamela Moles-Arthur, whom she always looked upon as a daughter and wanted to adopt as a child; grandchildren, Crystal Moles, Jamie and Jesse Nichols, Jeremy and Joelle Reed, Matthew Reed, Allison Gloria Reed, Joshua and Chelsea Harrison, Thomas Harrison, Katy Harrison, Joseph Harrison, Rusty and Tinah Moles, Chase Moles, Makyna Moles, and Cassidy Moles; great grandchildren, Lora Nichols, Caleb Nichols, Gideon Nichols, Lydia Jean Nichols, Gabriel Nichols, Sophia Harrison, Konnor Harrison, and Camdyn Moles.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Countryside Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
