Gregory Philip Sense, age 68, passed from this life on April 13, 2021. He was born on January 8, 1953 in Akron, Ohio to Arthur Boyd Sense and Frankie (Wright) Sense. Gregory graduated in 1975 from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Science degree. While attending college he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. He went on to begin his career with the United States Postal Service where he worked for 25 years as a mail carrier, he retired in December 2014.
In 1973, he met Kathryn Jeanne Trenam, and they married on May 11, 1975, going on to have two children, Eric Arthur Sense and Philip Ross Sense. Gregory and Kathy have been active members of the United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd in Yukon since 1984. Gregory had a passion for singing. He sang in the Vocal Sounds of Oklahoma, a part of the Barbershop Harmony Society. He was also a part of the Vocal Sounds of Oklahoma. Gregory was an avid sports fan. If he was not singing, then it is possible he was busy rooting for the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians or the Oklahoma City Thunder.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Frankie.
Gregory’s memories will continued to be cherished by his beloved wife, Kathy; sons, Eric Sense of Moore and Philip Sense and wife, Dia Janae of Yukon; brother, Stanley Boyd Sense of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandchildren: Adriana (15), Asher (11), Aylin (9), Jackson (3) and Lincoln (10 months) and two nieces.
A memorial service honoring his life will be at 10am on Monday, April 19, 2021 at the United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd located at 10928 SW 15th St, Yukon, Oklahoma 73099.
