Harley E. “Gene” Rose, beloved husband, father and grandfather departed this world on May 11th following a sudden illness. Gene is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna, 4 children; Brenda, Joni, Sandra and Laura and their husbands. He was preceded in death by his son, Harley E. Rose Jr. The legacy continued with 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Gene was a highly respected floor mechanic in the OKC area for 50 years. Upon his retirement he enjoyed his family, fishing and his motorcycle. He was a special man who now has a special place in heaven. Our loss is Heaven’s gain. Rest in peace daddy, we love you. Viewing will be held on Sunday from 8 am until 5 pm at Sunny Lane Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, May 14, 2012 in the Sunny Lane Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City.
