Harold Dan Wahl Jr.

Harold Dan Wahl Jr. (Danny) passed peacefully to heaven, surrounded by his family, on Friday, July 10th, after losing his battle to cancer. Throughout his life, Danny deeply touched everyone around him with his laughter, unwavering support, easy companionship, and his readiness to lend a helping hand. His inner strength and ability to overcome obstacles became a resilient part of who he was.

Danny was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on December 15,1956 to Harold D. Wahl and Bessie Lenore Edwards Wahl. He graduated from Carver High School in 1974. Danny had a natural curiosity for how things worked and fixed what was wrong with them. His favorite pastimes included fishing at Draper Lake, bowling, walking through the zoo, attending the State Fair, going to the gym and playing table games – often trying to let his siblings win.

He excelled as a custodian for 30 years at Oklahoma Publishing Company, where his hard work and character earned him a permanent personally engraved paver on the memorial plaza walkway of the State Capital building. Danny treasured this honor, which came with a tour of Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, game attendance and a celebration stay with hotel – an experience he proudly remembered.

Though Danny never married, he was cherished by his family. He is survived by his siblings: Linda Wahl Monholland, Kathleen Wahl, Rick Wahl, and Jack Wahl, all of Oklahoma City, and Emily Clark of Georgetown, Texas, 6 nephews and nieces, 11 grand nephews and nieces and 5 great grand nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Bessie Wahl of OKC, and a sister, Bessie Wahl of Middletown, Pennsylvania, and his nephew, Billy Monholland.

Danny was, and will always remain, a family favorite—remembered for his kindness, humor, and the gentle way he made life better for those around him.

Visitation will be held at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at Sunny Lane Cemetery, 4000 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115, on July 14, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
