

Harry Van Dusen, 82, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma left his earthly body and stepped into his beloved Lord and Savior’s welcoming arms on August 13, 2015. He was born on September 2, 1932 in Choctaw, Oklahoma to Harry and Nina (Bucy) Van Dusen.
Harry and his first wife, Patsy Ann Green, were married for fifty five years until her death in 2007. To their union two children were born, Danny Ray and Harry “Jenkins” Jr.
Harry was blessed to find love a second time. He and Garvis Loving were married in 2009. In 2009, he also became a member of Northeast Church of Christ in Oklahoma City. In the church, he was an active member of a purpose group and the Benevolence Committee.
He was employed by Aspen Tree Service, as a tree cutter for Oklahoma City, and he also worked at Townley Dairy and later retired from CMI. He was no stranger to hard work. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, playing dominoes, and spending time with his family.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Nina (Buey) Van Dusen; his wife, Patsy; his siblings, Cotton Van Dusen, Shorty Van Dusen, Joyce Burrows, Sammy Whitlock, Eddie Whitlock, and Mary Ann Burrows.
He is survived by his loving wife, Garvis; his children, Danny Van Dusen (wife, Donna), Harry “Jenkins” Van Dusen, Jr. (wife, Lilly), Deborah Loving Akindele, Gloria Renae Sykes; his siblings, Robert Van Dusen (wife, Barbara), Kay Whitlock, Alice Whitlock; his grandchildren, Gayla Weldon, Jeana Meinke (husband, Jason), Brent Foster (wife, Ebony Cobb), Gina Watts (husband, Charles), Tunde Akindele (wife, Dawn), Yinka Akindele (wife, Selene), April Lynn Condo (husband, John), George Wesley Sykes; twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
