Hazel Virginia Camp McDonald, born May 11, 1922, died September 10, 2018. Hazel was born in Albertville, Alabama to parents Burley Marvin Camp and Bonnie Laura Prichard Camp, who resided at High Point, AL. She had a military family life in Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, Alaska, and Kansas for more than 20 years. Hazel was a long-time resident of Midwest City, OK, where she worked in the school board’s administration. She and her family attended 1st Baptist Church Midwest City for many years. In 2011, she moved to Edmond, OK to be closer to family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Major, U.S. Army Retired, Royce C. McDonald, who passed away in 2004; sister Mona Ruth Camp Haney; and brother Gordon Camp. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Joe and Karan McDonald of Edmond, OK, and Richard and Laura McDonald of Richmond, TX; grandchildren, Keith, Scott, Anne, and Jeff; and great-grandchildren, Kodi, Kayla, Finley, Pierce, Maudeline, and Evan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Meadows, 1000 S. Kelly Avenue, Edmond, OK 73003. A Graveside Service will be at 10am Friday, September 14, 2018 at Arlington Memory Gardens in OKC.
