

Helen graduated from Shidler High School in 1942 and later received a degree from OBU in Shawnee. She worked as a secretary in the oil and gas industry for many years. In 1948 she married her sweetheart, James, in Wewoka, OK. They were inseparable until his passing. Helen was a devoted mother for many years and was so proud when she became a grandmother of two girls. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, buying-refurbishing, and selling antiques, playing the piano, singing and working in her flower garden.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 66 years, James; brother, Jack Lockhart. Survivors include her sons, James A. Weatherby, Jr. (Bonnie), John Michael Weatherby (Kathleen); granddaughters, Heather Mallory (Aaron), Jessica Weatherby; great-grandchildren, David, Amanda and Sara Mallory.
The family would like to thank the staff at Crossroads Hospice and Harrah Nursing Home for the loving care they provided Helen.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com
