Our beloved mother, Helen Louise Tallant, skipped into the arms of Jesus on December 28, 2012. She was born to Douglas and Lola (Hulsey) Arnold in Stroud, Oklahoma on August 21, 1925. She retired from Mid-Del Schools where she served in Nutrition Services. She enjoyed fishing and camping, crafting, playing canasta (and winning!), spending time with her friends and family, playing the piano, singing, serving God in many ways, and attending church. She was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, Christian, counselor, confidante, comedian, and much more to those who knew her, but mostly, a loyal friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Elbert; her husband, Marlin, of 53 years; her brother, Darrell; One grand-child, Douglas; and two great-grandchildren, Jessie and Grace. She leaves cherished memories with her children: Doug, Gail, Jeannie, Terri, and Toni; Daughter-in-love, Micha’el; sons-in-love, Delbert and Greg; grandchildren: Sean, Misty, Kim, Heather, Jonathon, Steven, Thomas, Glenna, Jamie, Dana, Jason, Kelly, Kyle, Tomi, Joshua, and Caleb; 21 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren; sister, Rose Marie and husband; step-brother, Roy and wife; numerous nieces, nephews and many treasured friends. My Dear Sweet Momma,
I have trouble finding the right words to express just how much I love you and miss you. You were a shining example of love, joy, strength, dignity, patience, virtue, endurance, livlihood, fun, loyalty, discipline, wisdom and hope I've ever known. You were the Proverbs 31 woman. I rise up and call you blessed. Thank you for loving me, for raising me in a home of love, stability, and structure; and for always being there for me, even at the very end. Thanks for coming to me, waving goodbye, and taking that silly monkey I gave you with you; but mostly, just for giving me one last chance to see you as you skipped into the arms of Jesus. I will treasure that forever. To see you swinging in His arms and laughing, and to see Daddy there waiting, and all that peace and joy.....I am just so thankful you shared that glimpse of Heaven with me. I love you, Momma. I'll see you again. Give Daddy and Jessie a hug for me.
All my love,
Toni

God be with all the family in this time of grief. Helen always had a spark about her that I'm sure will be missed. She loved God and her family very much. Linda Tye (Denver, Colorado)
