Pharaoh High School and moved to Okmulgee where she went to work for Gains Propane. She
moved with her mom and dad from Okmulgee to Midwest City where she worked for Humphry
Construction until she was hired on at Tinker Field where she worked as a personal secretary
until she retired.
Helen went to church her entire life and was involved in gospel music. She sang in a girls
quartet and then was the pianist for various other quartets, including the quartet her three brothers
sang in. Upon moving to Midwest City Helen became a member of Owen Memorial Pentecost
Holiness church, then Alethea Temple finally Liberty Christian Church. She was the church
pianist and organist for over 50 years. She also served as treasure for many years at Owen
Memorial. She loved doing yard work and always had a beautiful yard full of flowers. Helen will
always be remembered for her love and dedication to God.
