In her younger years she enjoyed water skiing and spending time with her family. She loved baking and giving hot rolls and food away to family, friends and neighbors. Working outside in her yard and watching movies were some of her favorite past-times.
Helen was preceded in death by her first husband Lawrence Dale Birchett, Sr.; second husband, Bural Griffith; siblings, Virgil and Lottie Pearl Young, Erma Covell and Solon Young. Survivors include her loving children, Dale Birchett (Cheryl), David Birchett (Linda), Doug Birchett; grandchildren, Crystal Ager (John), Amanda Herndon (Jason), Katy Birchett, Mary Page (Dwayne), Jamie, Melissa and Kimberly Birchett; great-grandchildren, Grace, Samuel and Lily Ager, Emma, Elana, Alyssa, Caleb, Nathan, Janna and Adelee Herndon; and Presley Page; siblings, Mable Leflore and Lynn Young (Nancy).
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com
