Henry L. Pearl passed from this life on August 31, 2019 at his home in Del City, Oklahoma. Henry was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to William Henry Pearl and Doris (McCorkle) Pearl on September 26, 1955. Henry graduated high school in Midwest City in 1974. He was assistant coach for the football and wrestling team at Capitol Hill High School , and the president of the Booster Club. He was a proud Midwest City Bomber. After high school, Henry joined the United States Army, he was a member of the 101st Airborne, and in Special Forces. After serving in the Army, Henry’s friend, Shotgun, convinced him to join him in the Navy. Finally Henry gave in to his friend’s request and left the Army to join the Navy and when he did, Shotgun left the Navy and went off to join the Army. Henry met his wife, Cheryl, in 1981 at a billiards tournament. When he saw her walk past his table, he was so stunned, it was the only time he’d ever scratched. Soon after they were married. Together they adopted their son, Sean in 1991. Henry was always at every one of Sean’s ballgames as he grew up. Henry was an ordained minister and youth pastor for 15 years. Through his work he helped countless people. Henry is preceded in death by his parents: William and Doris, his wife Cheryl Pearl, and his nephew Phillip Wolfe. Left to cherish his memory are his son Sean Pearl, grandson Blaze Pearl, his sister Billie Brand, as well as his other sons: Sylvester Moore, Cameron Gaddis, David Gaddis, and Tibo Gaddis.
