He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Andy loved fishing and enjoyed watching football.
He was preceded in death by his father; and one brother, Johnny Wilber Gooch. Survivors include his mother, Pearl Rackley; children, Jennifer and Freddie Gooch; siblings, Doug Reaves and wife, Nina, James Kenneth Reaves, Barbara Davis and Frankie Gooch; five grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
