Howard Haskell Hays, 91, went to be with our Lord and loved ones on June 3, 2017. He was born on February 11, 1926 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to John (Bud) & Alice (Atkins) Hays. He had two brothers, Harold and Harvey. He met and married Hazel Jean Young in 1947. They were blessed with three children, Alice Ann, Michael and Bruce.
Howard enjoyed camping, fishing, and boating with his family and later traveling in his RVs. He proudly served his country in the Army during WWII. His church and church family at Friendship Pentecostal Holiness Church were extremely important to him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Alice Hays; daughter, Alice Ann Melton; brother Harold and wife, Geneva.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Hays of 70 years; sons, Michael A. Hays and wife, Debbie, Bruce W. Hays and wife, Sherri; son-in-law, Jack Melton; 7grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.
