Kristen,
It's been a year & I've thought of you so many times throughout the year @ holidays, etc....I work with you everyday & I'm just amazed at how strong you are. I've read all these entries from so many people that love you & Hunter. He is in a better place, that I know, & you are right that this was just goodbye for a short time. May God be with you forever & I love you.

Not a day goes by that I do not think about you and miss you. Sometimes I swear I see you walking backwards down the street waving that goofy little wave of yours. It wouldn't matter if I was having the worst day ever, that would always make me smile. Going on 6 months, and it still doesn't seem possible that you are gone. Miss you and love you so much.

My sincere love, thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Mitcham family. Hunter, I haven't seen you since you were a toddler, yet I remember how much of a ball of energy you were even back then. I was very close with your sister Angie back then and she would talk about you all of the time. Life is definitely not always fair. Love and respect to you and your entire family. My sincere condolences, and may you Rest In Peace.

I've been sitting here for a while just staring at this page. I'm not exactly sure what to say, or how to say it, but I'll try.
I'm a military child who moved to Oklahoma in 6th grade, and met Hunter in 7th, when we started school at Central Junior High together. He could be so serious, but so funny at the same time! We only had one class together in the time that I knew him, but that was enough to create a strong friendship. I remember we would laugh or get in trouble together in English class, and we would hangout after school, or go to the movies with Blaze and a few other friends. In 9th grade, I moved away from Oklahoma to the island of Guam. We kept in touch, but not nearly as much as I wish we had. I found out today of Hunter's death. My brother is a Marine who is stationed in Oklahoma who knew Hunter as well. He called me this morning and told me, but I just couldn't believe it - I still can't. I know that I never met you, but I want you to know that your loss, our loss, is not felt only in Moore, but also on the other side of the world. Your son was amazing, and he is missed. I cannot tell you how sorry I am. You, Hunter, and the rest of your family and friends are in my prayers, and the prayers of my family.

my 9th grade year was probably the worst year i have ever had. i was extremely depressed and rarely smiled. Hunter was in my second hour & he was the only person who could make me smile. He would always walk into class making funny faces, he always knew how to brighten someones day. I went to elementary school with him, and he was always such a good, smart, and funny person. he was the kind of friend people all over wish they could have.

My nephew Blaze was one of Hunter's best friends. Every time the family was together Hunter was there too. I considered him family and my heart breaks for all who were close to him. His smile lit up the room and he left a big impression on all who met him. I cannot begin to imagine the pain his loss has caused, but I know that wherever he is...he is smiling, cherishing the memories he made with all of us just as we are cherishing those memories too. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who seek comfort in dealing with this tremendous loss.

Kristen, my heart grieves for the loss of Hunter. He was your everything, and you his. I only got a chance to meet him a few times, but got the pleasure of getting to know him through your stories. Recently you have shared with me the stories of him finding his way back to Jesus. Jesus worked through people to bring Hunter home, and to have eternal life in Heaven. I hope you and your family find comfort knowing that. Love you Kristen. May God bring you peace at this difficult time.

Hunter was a huge part of my life my freshman year. He's taught me a lot, while he was here and continues to teach me more from Heaven. He always put effort in to making me smile. He never let a girl go through the day without knowing she's beautiful. Hunter was a blessing to everyone around him. We love our little piece of Jesus.

The bond between a mother and a child is like no other, unbreakable, unwavering. I cannot say I know how you feel Kristen, but I can say that my heart aches for you. Cherish the memories you have, nobody can take those. You raised an awesome young man, that is obvious by all the beautiful letters written here. I would really like to say I know you how you feel, but honestly mam, I do not even have the words to describe how much I am mourning for your loss. when I met hunter all he wanted to do was make people smile, and laugh. I honestly believe he'd want us all to be happy, because he is in a much better place then us right now. id also like to add that you did a fantastic job raising him. his personality is unbeatable.. right now I mourn for your family, and for all the people he impacted in life. he was a fellow classmate, and friend to me,and id like to say he was a true blessing to have known him. god bless you, and your family...
