Iantha "Sue" Lavon Slaymon, 76, passed in to the loving arms of Jesus on January 2, 2014 while surrounded by her family. Sue was born on June 6, 1937 in Beverly, WV to Dallas and Bertha Juanita (Robey) Shifflett.
Sue adored her family and enjoyed painting, playing the piano, reading, sewing, baking, and was a wonderful listener. She had a wonderful group of friends that she met with once a month, and will cherish the memories she made with them.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents; son, Garrie Slaymon; brother, Dale Shifflett. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Doil; children, Colleen Gee (John), Lesa Harpole (Jock), Devin Slaymon (Paulina); grandchildren, Caroline Owen (Eric), Stephanie Ellison (Craig), Zachary Harpole, Taylor Slaymon, Alicia Harpole, Melonie Slaymon, Mallorie Slaymon, and Maddison Slaymon, Kenneth Dodd and Jennifer Dodd; great-grandchildren, Hailey Dodd, Rebecca Doddand Kaden Dodd, and Elizabeth Owen; brother, Don Shifflett (Jean).
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2014 at the Sooner Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com
