"The rain is raining all day long And when it rains it sings a song It makes the river wide and deep Don’t be afraid now Go to sleep." Our mother wrote this when she was in grade school. It wasn’t raining the day she passed away, but when Mom took a break from doing yard work, she sat on the patio to have a glass of iced tea and fell asleep for the last time. We don’t believe she was afraid. Irene was born to Elizabeth and Louis Turner on May 8, 1928 in Stockton, California. She was preceded in death by her husband A.J. and is survived by her four children, Michael and wife Debbie, Dennis and wife Gayle, Terry and wife Chris and Karen and husband Brian, along with a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
