Irene Louise Lambert May 10, 1939 – February 13, 2021 Del City, Oklahoma
Irene was born Irene L. Larochelle, May 10, 1939, in Manchester, New Hampshire to Leo and Yvonne Larochelle, growing up with her only sibling, brother, Onil Larochelle, both of who attended local schools. In October 5, 1957, she married Bob Lambert, USAF, and soon began their world travels, while stationed with the military in such places as Washington DC, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Okinawa, Germany. They finally settled in Oklahoma in 1972, and both proudly proclaim: “New Hampshire by Birth…Oklahoma by Choice.” She worked at Seiberling Latex in OKC and then worked at General Motors, OKC plant, retiring in 2004, after almost 25 years. During the ensuing years she raised her family of 3 children: Charles, born January 1959, Lori-Ann, born February 1965, and Michael, born July 1969. In addition to being a full time mom, she was occupied supporting her husband’s extracurricular activities to include military/veteran programs, various ministries and community projects. After the children got married, she filled the empty-nest syndrome by adopting and caring for rescued and abused dogs, and fell in love with that worthy cause. Bob and Irene had been married 63 years, 19 weeks, and 4 days when Irene passed away. Both were lifetime Catholics and active in church wherever they lived. She was preceded in death by parents, Leo and Yvonne Larochelle, and a brother, Onil Larochelle, of Manchester, NH, and grandson Clay Perkins. She is survived by husband, Bob Lambert and 3 children, Charles, Lori-Ann and husband John, and Michael; 7 grandchildren, Aaron, Brittnee, Brooklyn, David, Mical, Rachel, and Stormy; and also survived by 8 great-grandchildren. Irene passed away suddenly on February 13, 2021, following a short illness. Prayer services will be at 3pm Friday, February 19, 2021 in the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home chapel in Del City, officiated by Rev. Anthony Ram, and burial in the family plots at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., Midwest City, OK.

Bob & Family,
I grew up with Irene, not only as blood cousin, BUT as brother and sister. Most of my growing up years was spent at her house until she met you, bob and fell in love and married her love and best friend, my now cousin-in-law, Bob.
My heart breaks for you and your family"s loss (a great loss). Every year she would faithfully remember my birthday and would send me a card with a written update of what was going on with her loving family. We always teased each other that she was the older cousin (she was born May 10th 1939 and I was born June 29th 1939) but we were the same in spirit.
I will surely miss Irene until I see her again up there. My deepest sympathy to you, Bob and your loving family.

Dear Bob and Family,
Irene was a kind, gentle, and faith-filled woman. I met her through you, Bob. Remember all of the discussions we had about the Military Spirit Medal program at your home? Irene was always cordial and patient, wasn't she? She accompanied you to many of the Catholic War Veterans events - the Commander's Dinner (with her Taco Soup), Memorial Day Wreaths Across America program, The YMCA Military Welcome Center, and the Annual CWV Garage Sale. She always helped our Post behind the scenes as well. She was one of those women that others aspire to be. I will miss her. Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of this remarkable woman in your lives as well. Sincerely, Susan Chavez
