

James Vernon Genzer Sr., age 86 of Newalla, Oklahoma passed away on August 6, 2013. He was born March 1, 1927 in Mishak, Oklahoma to Margaret Therma (Hall) and George Jerry Genzer. He graduated from Crooked Oak High School and years after graduating, he married his wife Bobbye Juhree Finley in 1951. He worked at Tinker Air Force Base as a Warehouse Foreman and he eventually retired after working there for 33 years. At the age of 17 he joined the U.S. Navy and served his country during WWII. He is survived by his children: Alicia Moorehead (Dan Brewer) of Moore, OK; Karen Bias (Ron) of Harrah, OK; Jerry Genzer of Oklahoma City, OK; James Genzer Jr. of Moore, OK; Margie Blake (Mike) of Midwest City, OK; Jennifer Genzer of Newalla, OK; his siblings: Imogene, Gerald, Teresa, Jerry, Loren and Gary; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Bobbye; one daughter: Eilene; two sisters: Dolores and Berniece; and one brother: Wayne.
