

Hopkins, James William, 80 year old resident of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away on March 3, 2011 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born April 28, 19230 in Mellette, Oklahoma. He was the son of IV and Pearl Hopkins. He was raised on a farm which taught him to be a hard worker. He served the Army for 4 years and during that time in 1952 he married Mary Flud. He worked at Unit Parts for many years before starting his own ice delivery business. After retiring he volunteered at the Salvation Army Food Bank. He was a longtime resident of Oklahoma City area moving here in the mid-1950's and had been a resident of Choctaw since 1987. He loved working in the yard and helping other people. Preceded in death; wife Mary Hopkins. Survivors include two sons, Johnny Hopkins of Harrah, Oklahoma and Danny Hopkins of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren, Johnny of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Jennifer of Harrah, Oklahoma, Brad, Brian, and Megan of Broken Arrow Oklahoma, 5 great grandchildren, Ashley and Hope of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Katelyn, Makayla, and Hannah of Harrah, Oklahoma. 1 brother Mitchell of California, 3 sisters, Joyce of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Nadine of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Yvonne of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Sunny Lane Funeral Home with burial at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
