James Edward Veach

Passed away at his home on the morning of Sunday, February 22, 2026. James was born on September 1, 1935, in Seminole to Erin and Bessie (Hendriks) Veach. James was raised in and around Seminole with his seven brothers and sisters until he joined the United States Army in May 1954, he served in the Korean War, he left the service and married his true love, Glenda Sue Collins in1957. They we married for 46 years until Glenda’s death in 2004; They lived all their time in the greater Oklahoma City Area and settled in Choctaw. During this time, he served as a Volunteer firefighter in Newalla, and an Oklahoma County Reserve Deputy Sheriff. He worked in plumbing, heating and a/c, heavy equipment maintenance, and a boiler operator. James was a 32nd’ Scottish Rite Mason, and belonged McLoud Lodge #126 and received his Fifty Years of masonic service award from the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma. James spent his final years tending his property, loving his dogs, children, and grandchildren. James was a member of the Countryside Baptist Church, in Newalla.

James is survived by his sister, Evelyn of Bartlesville, his son, Alan Veach of Midwest City, his son Ed and wife Missy Veach of Roanoke, Texas, His Grandson Andrew Veach of Mustang, Granddaughter, Victoria Swan of Ft. Worth, and Grandson Jacob Forman of Ft. Worth. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, between 5-8pm at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at Sunny Lane Cemetery, 4000 SE 29th ST., Del City, Oklahoma 73115.

Funeral will be held at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at Sunny Lane Cemetery on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 2pm, Internment at Sunny Lane Cemetery.

The family wishes to express our sincere appreciation to Oklahoma Palliative & Hospice Care, they are a caring and gentle group, each and every one. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donating to the Choctaw Fire Department, who provided invaluable help for James on multiple occasions.
