

James Kenneth Wilson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on March 25, 2024, at the age of 78. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on March 14, 1946, to parents Emmitt Wilson and Geneve Wilson. James attended Crooked Oak High School, then later went off to welding school. Which led him to become a car and diesel mechanic as well as a welder. He married his loving wife, Agnes Marie Wilson, and they spent 40 years together.
James enjoyed NASCAR racing, watching football and boxing, camping, fishing, and motor boating. He played baseball and wrestled, too.
Most people will remember James as someone who loves his family and is a great husband, dad, and grandpa. He’s most proud of his children. One of his highest achievements was racing his sprint car at Taft Stadium.
James is preceded in death by his brother Bob Wilson (Peggy) of Houston, Texas; sister Pasty Wilson of Norman, Oklahoma; and daughter-in-law Deana Wilson.
He is survived by his wife Agnes Wilson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter Jamie Wickersham and husband Buddy of Newalla, Oklahoma; son Willard Todd Wilson of Choctaw, Oklahoma; son Danny Francher of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter Frances Wimberly of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other family members.
A visitation for James will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Sunny Lane Funeral Home, 4000 Se 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115. A graveside will occur Monday, April 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Sunny Lane Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4000 SE 29th St, Del City, OK 73115.
