James Alvin Winters started his heavenly journey on Thursday, July 11, 2019.

James was born on May 6, 1947 in Blair, ok. He was the sixth of seven children born to Effie Lurlene & Charlie Elijah Winters.

James married Sharon in 1970 & together they raised three children, Barron Bruce, Jamie Elynn and Meranda Dawn.

James was a Maintenance Electrician & retired from General Motors in 2006. After retiring, he worked for the Chickasaw National Park loving every moment of it. He loved deer hunting, camping with family & friends, doing anything outdoors, but the most important thing to him was his family.

James is survived by his wife Sharon of 49 years, Barron Winters & wife Mistie of Norman, OK, Jamie Winters of Choctaw, OK, Meranda Sparks & husband Doug of Newalla, OK, eight (8) grandchildren, five (5) great grandchildren, sister Gwendolyn Clark of Duncan, OK, sisters in law Melva Winters of Blair, OK, Margaret Winters of Blair, OK, Mary Winters of Kellyville, OK, brother in law John Traffenstedt of Mustang, OK, sister & brother in law Wynona & Doyle Watts of Little Axe, OK. He also leaves behind numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, three (3) brothers: Charles Winters, Robert Winters & Jerry Winters & two (2) sisters Thelma Brown & Brenda Traffenstedt.
