

Janie Mae Nelson, age 67 went into the Loving arms of Jesus April 19, 2009. Janie was born January 23, 1942 in Oklahoma City, OK to Dave and Ada Jane (Mills) Collins. Janie was a very loving and caring mother grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a beautiful woman. She loved everyone she met and they loved her. She never met a stranger, always had a smile and touched a lot of lives. She is best known for her phrase a kiss, a hug and a I Love You, which you couldn't leave her house without. Her kids and grandkids were her life, she loved spending time with them and going to watch them play in their ballgames, next to her kids and grandkids she loved her chihuahua. When she was able she would be camping at Lake Murray or working in her flower garden. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her spouse: Bill Nelson; sons: Gene Cooper and wife Pam, Melvin Webb and wife Theresa; daughter: Debbie Davis and husband Mark; 10 grandchildren: Ricky and Crystal Cooper,Michael and Angel Cooper, Jereme Cooper, Cody Cooper, Cameron Jones, Nicole Davis, Madison Davis and Macy Davis; 4 great-grandchildren: Tyler Cooper, Kaitlyn Cooper, Brooklyn Cooper, Cannon Cooper; 3 brothers: Richard Collins, Eddie Collins, Freddie Collins. Preceded in death by sister and grandchild Marissa Farrell. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Sunny Lane Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
