Jerry Lynn Adams was born in San Diego, California on February 14th, 1956 in the middle of an earthquake. The nurses nicknamed him “Rocky”. He loved God & his family and he led them with honor. His quiet, dedicated faith led him on one adventure after another as he served as a short term missionary in Jamaica for several weeks each year over the course of 5 years. His desire to have the family together led all of them to serve as full time missionaries first in St. Petersburg, Russia and then Iquitos, Peru for a total of 27 years. He helped the underground church in Russia learn how to operate above ground as communism fell and helped establish a foundation for the Russian church that stands to this day. In Peru, he ran a houseboat along the Amazon River providing humanitarian aid, clean drinking water systems and Jesus to the natives. Over the course of their ministry they helped establish 26 churches in Peru and lost count of the many numbered bible school graduates that went on to establish their own schools and churches. He and his wife Connie retired from the mission field in 2023 and returned to Oklahoma where he was delighted to be reunited with all 4 of his now grown children, daughter in love, and grandchildren. He thrived having his family all in one place. He was known for helping anyone with absolutely anything, bringing joy in hard times, lending the best listening ear to your problems and offering quietly wise solutions to every problem. He walked with God daily and was the living example of “walking and talking with God”. He never stopped praying. He LIVED his walk with God. He is predeceased by his mother, Peggy Adams and survived by his wife, Connie Adams and their children Kristen, Jason, Kaitlyn, Ryan & his wife Jenna & their children Hayden & Zoey, his dad, Jerry Adams, his sister JoAnn Hall and her husband John & their children Amanda Hall & Family & Aaron Ratliff & Family. We already miss him more than words can say.
