JoAnn Ridley passed away at home in Oklahoma City Saturday, February 25, 2012 with family by her side. JoAnn was born in Oklahoma City on February 28, 1933 to William Clarice and Ethel Pearl Wright. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School as Valedictorian of her class. JoAnn married her sweetheart, Billy Joe Ridley, on the same day she graduated from high school. They had five children including one set of twins. She had a vibrant personality, always smiling and was able to make you laugh right out of the blue. More than anything, she loved and took care of her family. She had a love of life and her Lord. She was an active member of Kelham Baptist Church. JoAnn was a joy to be with, a good listener and would only offer advice if you asked for it. She was fun to travel with, as she did with all her children. JoAnn would leave for a dinner or Colorado with a moment’s notice. She was always on board. JoAnn was the best mother, sister or friend anyone could have. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Ridley; daughter, Doris Yvonne Smith; and son, Gary Joe Ridley. Survivors include her son, Billy Wayne Ridley and wife, DeeAnn; daughter, Cathy Chiaf and husband, John; son, Richard Maurice Ridley and wife, Debbie; sister, Doris Jean Slocum and husband, Donald; grandchildren: Lisa, Robert, Rachel, Matthew, Jeff and Joseph Ridley; Cheryl Karnes, Anna Mattson, Heather Roberson, Chris Kordic, Nicole Domingue, and Bryan Meziere and twelve great grandchildren.
