Joanne Marie Terlizzi

Joanne Marie Terlizzi entered heaven’s gate on the evening of April 28th, 2017, at the age of 63. Joanne was born on July 6th, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Reita L. Solomon and Joseph M. Solomon. Soon after graduating high school, she began an esteemed career with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. Joanne retired after serving the state for 35 years. Joanne married Tony Michael Terlizzi, who was her husband of 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reita L. Solomon and Joseph M. Solomon, and her husband, Tony Terlizzi. She is survived by her daughter, Stacey Estes of Purcell, OK; her son, Anthony Terlizzi and daughter-in-law Dafnie, of Lexington, OK; 5 grandchildren, Kylie Estes, Zackary Estes, Makenzie Estes, Kelsey Terlizzi, and Isabella Terlizzi; her brother, Joe Solomon and wife Nancy, of Broken Arrow, OK; sister Kathy Allman and husband Craig, of Noble, OK; sister Linda Solomon and partner Teddy Higgins, of Del City, OK; brother-in-law Doug Terlizzi, sister-in-law Tandy Terlizzi, brother-in-law Monte Terlizzi, sister-in-law Shawna & John Merrell and John; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Joanne enjoyed going to the movies with her husband Tony, watching “her shows”, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved shopping, dining out, and getting her hair done with her sister Kathy, and visiting and laughing with her siblings. Joanne was loyal, loving, strongly devoted, and caring. She had an outgoing personality and did not mind being the life of the party. Some may say she had a slight stubborn streak, but that same quality also lead to many great life achievements. Joanne will be dearly missed and forever loved by all those who knew her. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017, at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel, 5005 S.E. 29th St., Del City, OK. Interment will be in Sunny Lane Cemetery.
