Rhonda and family, Your dad was a man people could count on, and a best friend to so many. Any time my dad, L.S. White, was sitting on his front porch in his swing, Joe would stop and visit for a minute. Made my dad's day, and therefore mine. The reputation your dad had for honesty, kindness, and integrity will remain even though he is gone, God bless all of your family. Ray & Betty White

Prayers for all of the family. I know he will be greatly missed! Enjoyed the years of knowing Joe. Growing up with Rhonda he was also such a character, scratching on the windows outside when we were having a slumber party at Rhonda's and scaring us all! I know everyone at the funeral home will miss seeing him. He was just such a great man. May you rest in peace, Joe.

Fern, Ronnie, Rhonda and family, we will miss your husband, dad and granddad. He was our friend, great role model, mentor and some one we love because of who he was and what he meant to all of us growing up here in Midwest City. May God bless you and give you his strength with his grace and love. Thank you for sharing Mr. Joe B. Barnes with those of us blessed enough to have him in our lives.
We Love you guys!

I can't say enough praise and respect that I feel for my friend Joe Barnes. We were currently serving on the Board of Urban Renewal of Midwest City and it was a real pleasure to listen to stories about Midwest City during our meetings. He was one of the Greatest Generation who were role models that I would like to have in individuals today. You will be missed my good man may be you and Blue can reminisce in heaven thanks for the memories I'll miss you
