

John Franklin Payne went home to be with our Heavenly Father on April 23, 2022 in Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of 92. He was born to Hubert Payne and Cecil Womble on June 22, 1929 in Gilbert Arkansas.
He is survived by his loving wife Delores Payne for over 69 years; daughters Sandra Yoon and Youngae Yoon; son Soonku Yoon and his wife Mudon Heong; son Jaekoo Yoon and his wife Sooja Sin; granddaughter Rachel McIntyre married to Jesse McIntyre; grandson Nathanael Fisher with fiancé Cristina Hendricks; grandson Hosang (Charm) Yoon married to Yeonji Shin; granddaughter Dawoon Yoon married to Jimin Seok; grandson Jeongsang Yoon; grandson Myoungsang Yoon married to Hoen Young Noh; granddaughter Eunjeong Yoon married to Yongwook Shin; great grandchildren Judah (7), Selah (5), Jocelyn (3), Jonathan (1), Jaein (6), Iel (2), Malgeum (9), Garam (5);sister Barbara Fuller; sister-in-laws Norma Capehart, Laverne Payne, Denise Payne; nieces Robin Brown, Heather Capehart, Tammy Wyns, Tina Iske, Kimberly Nixon; nephews Brent Capehart, Mark Capehart, Butch Whiteley, Ronnie Allen (Rocky) Payne, Terry Payne, Tommy Payne; great nieces Carolyn Capehart, Alexandra Capehart, Mary Jane Capehart; great nephews Christian Capehart, Miles Capehart, Jesse Capehart, Tatetopa (Tate’) Capehart . Numerous great great nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by father Hubert Payne; mother Cecil Womble; aunt Dora Phillips; brother Roger Payne.
He trusted the Lord as his Savior. He loved the Lord, his family, his dogs and cats, enjoyed fishing, hunting, and exercising to stay fit.
He was a member of Tinker Air Force Base Chapel for over 50 years. He served in the Air Force for 20 years before retiring. After retiring, he began his career as a Volkswagen mechanic and eventually opened his own shop in Oklahoma City.
He loved spending time with his family especially his great grandchildren living in Oklahoma.
